Albertsons closed FY2025 with 2% same store sales growth and $83.2B in revenue, but the real momentum came from digital, where online sales jumped 21% for the year. For brands, this reinforces Albertsons’ continued shift toward a more digitally engaged shopper and a more data driven retail environment.
The retailer invested $1.84B in tech, loyalty, and store modernization — including 94 remodels, nine new stores, and expanded AI powered capabilities. Loyalty membership climbed to 51.2M (+12%), giving brands a larger, more targetable audience for personalized promotions and omnichannel activation.
Looking ahead, Albertsons plans to increase capex to $2.0B – $2.2B in FY2026, with a focus on productivity, digital experience, and operational modernization. The company expects up to 1% same store sales growth, signaling a stable but competitive environment where brands that lean into digital visibility, loyalty integration, and in store execution will have the clearest path to growth.
