Barons Market is a nine store natural grocery chain based in San Diego, California. They are expected to open their 10th store near the end of this year or early 2025 at the esteemed Roosevelt Center business complex in Carlsbad Village, next to Prontos Gourmet Market, Grotto Spa and Alliance Jiu Jitsu.
Barons Market has established a strong presence in Southern California as an organic/natural/specialty grocery store since its inception in 1993 providing a diverse shopping experience. This location design will include a very large outdoor patio space which will set this store apart from the other Barons Market locations. In addition to everyday low priced staple grocery items, patrons will also be able to purchase an array of gourmet offerings, including fresh salads, hot soups, artisanal cheeses and a selection of alcoholic beverages. The store plans to hold a job fair about eight weeks before their grand opening and expects to bring about 50 new jobs to the region.
Beyond its retail offerings, Barons Market is renowned for its commitment to community engagement. They are currently partnering with the San Diego food Bank by doing a chain wide Fall Food Drive where every dollar donated will provide two meals. They also put on a variety of events throughout the year such as tastings and cooking demonstrations to foster community connections and celebrate culinary culture.
