After a two-year renovation project, the H-E-B plus! store in Bastrop has officially reopened with expanded departments, new shopping experiences, and enhanced customer amenities. The remodel significantly upgraded the 140,000-square-foot location, which has served the community for nearly four decades.
Among the most notable additions is a new True Texas BBQ restaurant featuring a menu of smoked meats and classic Texas favorites prepared on-site by certified pitmasters. The store also expanded several fresh departments, including produce, bakery, deli, seafood, and meat, while introducing a larger Meal Simple section with additional ready-to-cook and grab-and-go options. Customers will also find new offerings such as a Sushiya sushi counter, expanded beer and wine selections, and specialty departments dedicated to home décor, gifts, and seasonal merchandise.
Health and wellness services received significant upgrades as well. The pharmacy now includes additional drive-thru capacity and expanded clinical services, while the Healthy Living department offers a broader assortment of nutrition-focused products. To celebrate the reopening, H-E-B donated $30,000 to local organizations supporting food security, domestic violence prevention, and animal welfare. The investment reflects the retailer’s continued commitment to both enhancing the customer experience and supporting the communities it serves.
