BJ’s Wholesale Club Expanding to Texas, Including Dallas-Fort Worth

BJ’s Wholesale Club is making a bold move into Texas, with plans to open several locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area starting in early 2026. This expansion is part of the retailer’s broader growth strategy, which includes opening 25 to 30 new clubs across the U.S. over the next two fiscal years.

“We are eager to continue our expansion by bringing unbeatable value, convenience, and assortment to the Dallas-Fort Worth community,” said Bob Eddy, Chairman and CEO of BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Economic expansion and a growing population make Texas a great fit for us.”

BJ’s Wholesale Club, known for its membership-based savings model, currently operates 252 clubs and 188 BJ’s Gas locations across 21 states. The company offers a one-stop shopping experience, providing fresh produce, bakery goods, meat, dairy, household essentials, and electronics at up to 25% off traditional grocery store prices.

Beyond Texas, BJ’s has revealed several new locations set to open in 2025, including stores in Delray Beach and Casselberry, Florida; Warner Robins, Georgia; and Sevierville, Tennessee. The Delray Beach location will be a BJ’s Market, a smaller-format store designed for quick and efficient grocery shopping.

BJ’s has also seen strong performance in recent months, with its 12th consecutive quarter of traffic growth and record-high membership levels. While total revenue declined slightly to $5.28 billion due to an extra selling week in the prior year, the company credits its success to an improved assortment, increased digital sales, and a focus on value.

As BJ’s prepares to break into the Texas market, each new location is expected to create between 100 and 150 jobs. The company’s longstanding commitment to community support will also extend to its Texas locations, with weekly donations of fresh food to local food banks.

With its unique club model and focus on affordability, BJ’s Wholesale Club is poised to become a major player in the Texas grocery market. More details on the exact locations of the upcoming DFW-area stores are expected in the coming months.
