Brookshire Grocery Co. Acquires Three Diamond Foods Grocery Locations in Northwest Texas

Tyler, Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) announced it will acquire the Diamond Food Market stores located in Henrietta, Mineral Wells, and Aubrey, Texas. The Mineral Wells location will be rebranded as a Brookshire’s store, while the Henrietta and Aubrey stores will be converted to the Spring Market outlets. Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO of Brookshire Grocery Co., expressed enthusiasm about this opportunity to expand their service to the residents of northwest Texas. He stated, “We are currently celebrating our 95th anniversary this month and take immense pride in our service to Texas since 1928. Welcoming these Diamond stores into our family means a promising future ahead. Customers can expect to see familiar faces from the Diamond team joining us, committed to delivering quality products at competitive prices, all while maintaining exceptional customer service.”

Following the closure of the deal, each store will undergo a brief transition period with the aim of reopening under the new BGC banner within a few days. Subsequently, these locations will undergo remodeling to introduce new features and expanded offerings for customers. The Food Partners played a pivotal role as strategic and financial advisors for both companies throughout the transaction.

All current employees of Diamond at these locations will be offered employment opportunities at Brookshire Grocery or Spring Markets. Over the years, BGC has evolved into a prominent regional grocery retailer with over 17,500 employees and more than 205 store locations spanning four states. These stores operate under various banners, including Brookshire’s, Super 1 Foods, Spring Market, FRESH by Brookshire’s, and Reasor’s.
