“Goonies never say die”—and neither did PCC when it came to their downtown dreams. First opening in 2022, PCC’s initial downtown location was unfortunately a casualty of the pandemic. What was envisioned as a convenient lunch and grocery destination for downtown workers and residents quickly succumbed to the realities of remote work and reduced tourist activity.
Fast forward to July 2025 – PCC has reignited its downtown dreams with a fresh concept – PCC Corner Market. At 6,500 square feet, the Corner Market is about one-third smaller than the previous location. But size isn’t everything. PCC has taken the lessons learned from its first venture and tailored this new store to meet the unique needs of downtown. CEO Krish Srinivasan puts it perfectly, “It’s a smaller version of your neighborhood co-op, serving a big need in downtown Seattle,”
Another unique aspect of the new Corner Market is its layout: nearly half the store is dedicated to a hot bar, salad bar, and grab-and-go items, while the handpicked grocery selection is tailored specifically to the needs of downtown customers. The location also introduces a few firsts for PCC—self-checkout only, digital price tags, and weekday-only hours.
Adding to the excitement, PCC’s headquarters will be moving into the new space from their current office space along the waterfront. With HQ so close, this store is expected to debut pilot products and innovations earlier than other locations—giving downtown shoppers a first taste of what’s new at PCC.
