Gelson’s is Growing

A new Gelson’s market will make its debut at 12101 W. Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles, positioning itself as one of the anchor stores of the new West Edge Shopping Center. Included in the store will be a bakery and café operated by Pie Hole LA, serving sushi, beer, tapas and wine. Opening this spring, it will become Gelson’s flagship store and its 28th store location for this Southern California-based chain. Gelson’s was acquired by PPIH last year (Pan Pacific International Holdings) which also operates Marukai and Tokyo Central stores in California along with Times, Big Save and Marukai stores in Hawaii. The company also owns the Don Quijote retail chain which has three stores in Hawaii.
