Giant Eagle Hunting for New Headquarters

Giant Eagle announced plans to move away from its fully remote corporate working model, expressing gratitude for the support during the remote work period. The company aims to transition corporate team members to a hybrid in-office model in 2024, fostering more collaboration. While considering potential new headquarters around the Pittsburgh area, specifics about the search and required space remain undisclosed.

In 2020, amid the pandemic, Giant Eagle chose not to renew its lease in O’Hara, Pennsylvania for its corporate center. In the preceding year, Giant Eagle acquired office space in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania , where operations continued during remote work.

The grocery store chain was founded in 1931 by five families. Today, Giant Eagle operates a diverse portfolio of over 400 retail locations, varying in size from 120,000 square-foot supermarkets to smaller neighborhood markets and fuel and convenience locations.
