H-E-B Breaks Ground on New Dallas Fort Worth Stores

H-E-B has officially started construction on two new stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with locations in Murphy and the Mid-Cities area near Euless and Bedford. Both stores are slated to open in 2026, further expanding the grocer’s footprint in North Texas.

The Murphy store, spanning 122,000 square feet, will be located at FM 544 and McCreary Road in Collin County. Meanwhile, the Mid-Cities store, covering 126,000 square feet, will be situated at Cheek-Sparger Road and Rio Grande Boulevard in Tarrant County.

Both stores will offer a variety of amenities, including full-service H-E-B pharmacies with drive-thru options, True Texas BBQ restaurants, and fuel stations with car washes. Shoppers will also have access to curbside pickup and home delivery services. The design of each store has been tailored to reflect the unique character of the surrounding communities, enhancing their local appeal.

To commemorate the groundbreaking of these stores, H-E-B has donated $100,000 to local organizations in the Murphy and Mid-Cities areas. In Murphy, $10,000 contributions were made to Friends of the Smith Public Library, Wylie ISD Education Foundation, Amazing Grace Food Pantry, Coventry Reserve, and Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center. For the Mid-Cities, $10,000 donations went to The Clubhouse for Special Needs, 6 Stones, Uprights Theatre Co., Serving Our Seniors, and the H-E-B ISD Education Foundation.

These new projects join a growing list of H-E-B stores in the DFW area, including locations in Allen, Alliance, Frisco, Mansfield, McKinney, and Plano. The company also recently opened Joe V’s Smart Shop Wheatland in Dallas, with another Dallas store set to open in 2025 at Buckner and Samuell Boulevards. H-E-B’s ongoing investments highlight its commitment to serving North Texas communities with top-tier grocery services while supporting local organizations and initiatives.
