San Antonio-based H-E-B Grocery Co. is set to further its expansion in North Texas with the announcement of a new store in Denton. The upcoming location will be situated on a 20-acre site at the northwest corner of Interstate 35W and Robson Ranch Road, within Hillwood’s Landmark development—a 3,200-acre project that plans to include 6,000 new homes and 5 million square feet of mixed-use space. Construction is anticipated to commence this spring, with more details to be unveiled at a forthcoming groundbreaking ceremony.
This Denton store is part of H-E-B’s strategic growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. Since 2022, H-E-B has opened 12 stores in the region, including locations in Frisco, Plano, Allen, and McKinney. The company has nine additional stores in progress, with upcoming locations in Prosper, Murphy, the Mid-Cities area (Bedford and Euless), Melissa, Dallas-Hillcrest, Irving, Rockwall, and Forney.
In addition to its flagship stores, H-E-B is expanding its discount concept, Joe V’s Smart Shop, with a second Dallas location set to open soon. The company also continues to grow its upscale banner, Central Market, further solidifying its presence in the North Texas market.
As H-E-B celebrates its 120th anniversary this year, with sales exceeding $46 billion and a workforce of over 160,000 associates, the company’s commitment to serving the DFW community presents valuable opportunities for vendors and industry partners. The ongoing expansion offers avenues for collaboration and growth in this dynamic market.
