H-E-B Launches Credit Cards with Unlimited 5% Cash Back on H-E-B Brands

San Antonio-based H-E-B Grocery Co. launched its first H-E-B and Central Market Visa credit cards. Both cards offer 5% cash back on H-E-B-brand products and 1.5% on all other purchases at H-E-B, plus unlimited cash back. H-E-B and Central Market credit cards are separate credit accounts that must be applied for individually and require separate credit checks and approvals. The cards can be used at H-E-B, Central Market, or any place Visa is accepted, according to the release. There is no annual fee. Both cards will also receive unlimited 5% cash back on all orders with Favor Delivery, an H-E-B-owned company. H-E-B released its first cash-back rewards debit card last September, accepted anywhere MasterCard is accepted. “At H-E-B, we’re always looking to create and adopt innovative, quality programs that give Texans more ways to save,” Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing, stated in the release. “With the H-E-B and Central Market credit cards, we’re offering Texans a more rewarding shopping experience that provides savings wherever they shop and gives H-E-B and Central Market fans a premium benefit on their favorite products.” The first 20,000 approved applicants for each card will have the opportunity to select a limited-edition metal card.
