H-E-B Opens First North Texas E-Commerce Fulfillment Center in Plano
San Antonio-based H-E-B opened its sixth state-of-the-art fulfillment hub in Plano, Texas in Collin County on June 20th. The new, “futuristic”, e-commerce fulfillment center is dedicated to processing curbside pickups and home delivery orders. The facility is attached to the new Plano H-E-B store at 6001 Preston Road. It is the first hub to open in North Texas and will support the company’s growing footprint in the area. The San Antonio-based grocer said its new e-commerce center will help relieve in-store congestion and provide a more convenient shopping experience for Texans. The 55,000-square-foot facility uses various forms of automation throughout the order fulfillment process. “Across our business, we are adopting innovative technologies that give our partners the tools they need to provide top-quality service to our customers, whether they shop online or in our stores,” said H-E-B VP of e-Commerce Kedar Patel.
The most recent e-commerce hub opened in Leander, Texas in 2022. Additional fulfillment centers are expected as H-E-B grows its North Texas footprint. Alongside its newest stores in Plano and Frisco, the retailer is adding locations in Allen, Fort Worth, McKinney, and Forney.
