H-E-B has officially opened its second store in Frisco, marking the seventh location the San Antonio-based retailer has launched in the DFW Metroplex. The 130,000-square-foot H-E-B Frisco store, located at Highway 380 and FM 423 in eastern Denton County, joins other recently opened H-E-B stores Frisco (4800 Main Street), Plano, McKinney, Allen, Alliance, and Mansfield, along with Joe V’s Smart Shop Wheatland in Dallas. H-E-B has had a presence in the area for over 20 years with six Central Market locations in the North Texas region.
“With our second store in the Frisco community, our H-E-B Partners remain committed to earning the trust of our neighbors, providing them the shopping experience they’ve come to expect from us,” said Greg Bennion, Hwy 380 and FM 423 H-E-B Top Store Leader. “We look forward to serving even more customers in this dynamic and growing part of Texas.”
Nearly two years after the opening of its first Frisco store, H-E-B continues its expansion into the Metroplex, offering a shopping experience committed to delivering exceptional freshness and quality at everyday low prices. The new store features unique amenities such as a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru, an H-E-B fuel station, and a Texas Backyard department with a selection of outdoor essentials.
In addition, the store offers H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services, allowing customers to shop online for convenient in-store pickup or home delivery, giving them flexible options for how they shop, pay, and receive their products.
Additional store highlights include:
H-E-B has thoughtfully designed its new Frisco store to reflect the unique character of the local community, with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. The store incorporates several energy-efficient features, including CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting, and is surrounded by extensive native landscaping.
As the largest privately held employer in Texas, the H-E-B at Hwy 380 and FM 423 in Frisco provides jobs for more than 700 Partners (employees), most of whom are from the local area. Regularly recognized as one of the nation’s top employers, all job opportunities at H-E-B can be found on the H-E-B Careers website.
H-E-B is committed to giving back to the communities it serves through its Spirit of Giving philosophy. To celebrate the store’s grand opening, H-E-B donated $10,000 each to the Little Elm Animal Shelter and the Little Elm Educational Fund, totaling $20,000. These donations build upon the company’s longstanding support of over 150 non-profit organizations and public schools in the DFW Metroplex.
H-E-B’s expansion in the DFW area continues with additional stores under construction in Melissa and Prosper, as well as a new location in Rockwall, which broke ground in late June 2024. The company also introduced the DFW area to Joe V’s Smart Shop stores, the first to open outside of the Houston area. Joe V’s Smart Shop Wheatland at 4101 W. Wheatland Road opened in June 2024, and another location at 5204 S. Buckner Boulevard is expected to open in spring 2025. Joe V’s Smart Shop is part of H-E-B’s family of brands, offering high-quality fresh products at even lower prices through an innovative pricing format.
As a proud Texas company, H-E-B has deep roots in the Metroplex. For two decades, it has served the broader community with its Central Market stores, first introduced to the DFW area in 2001, and now serving customers in Dallas, Plano, Southlake, and Fort Worth. Additionally, H-E-B stores have long served communities near the Metroplex, including Burleson, Hudson Oaks, Granbury, and Waxahachie.
