Historic Natural Food Store Undergoes Revitalizing Remodel After 50 Years in Business

After nearly five decades of serving the community, Chico Natural Foods Cooperative has gotten a fresh look. Originally established in 1973, the beloved store has been a cornerstone of healthy living in the area, and the recent remodel aims to enhance both the shopping experience and its product and service offerings.

The remodel, which began over six months ago, includes a complete overhaul of the store’s layout and design. New features such as expanded aisles,  and a state-of-the-art kitchen, salad and soup bar, and hot ready to eat meals for lunch and dinner  are just a few of the enhancement’s customers are now experiencing. Store manager, Brian Alpert expressed his excitement about the changes. “We want to create a space that feels welcoming and reflects our commitment to convenience, health and sustainability,” he said. “This remodel allows us to better serve our customers and the community.” “The overall feedback from our customers has been extremely enthusiastic and we have defiantly experienced an uptick in sales.”
