West Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee is going bigger and better as they expend their reach with “state of the art” stores. The Janesville location includes all digital shelf labels and features more than 50 television screens throughout the store. Check out options include traditional lanes as well as mobile payment options using technology with Hy-Vee’s Scan & Go and self-checkouts. Hy-Vee CEO, Jeremy Gosch explained, “we always feel like we’re different. We go into communities that make sense for us and Wisconsin has been a very good state for us.” Gosch added, “you see us extending to Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. Obviously our footprint become much bigger at that point”.
