Jimbo’s, a local natural food and grocery chain, will soon establish a new presence in the Row at Civita, which serves as the vibrant mixed-use civic and retail center within a meticulously designed 230-acre master-planned community.
However, this exciting development will require some patience, as the anticipated opening of the latest Jimbo’s store in Mission Valley is slated for the second half of 2026. The grocery building, encompassing 25000 square feet, will be leased by Jimbo’s at the intersection of Civita Boulevard and Qualcomm Way, and construction is scheduled to commence in early 2025.
Since its inception in 1984 in North Park, Jimbo’s has been committed to serving the community, currently operating four locations in San Diego County: Caramel Valley, 4S Ranch, Carlsbad, and Escondido.
Designed to be the civic and retail heart of Civita, the Row will not only house Jimbo’s but also feature apartments, plazas, and various gathering spaces. The Initial phase of construction has been completed, while planning for the remaining development is underway.
