Joe V’s Smart Shop, H-E-B’s value-focused grocery banner, is continuing its growth in the Houston area with plans to open two new locations. The stores, currently under construction near the City Park community on West Orem Drive and in Humble along U.S. Highway 59, are expected to open next year. Each location will span approximately 57,000 square feet and employ more than 200 partners, many of whom will be hired from the surrounding communities.
Designed to deliver everyday low prices without sacrificing quality, Joe V’s Smart Shop offers a wide assortment of fresh products and prepared foods. Customers can expect in-store cut meats, fresh produce delivered daily, bakery items including tortillas made in-house, Meal Simple offerings, handmade sushi and Asian-inspired meals. The new stores will also become the first Joe V’s locations to feature H-E-B’s South Flo Pizza as a grab-and-go meal option, while home delivery service will be available throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.
Since launching in 2010, Joe V’s Smart Shop has grown to 14 stores across Houston and Dallas and employs more than 2,700 partners. The expansion reinforces H-E-B’s continued investment in value-focused retail concepts while bringing additional grocery options and employment opportunities to rapidly growing Texas communities.
