Northeastern-based grocer Hannaford Supermarkets upgraded five locations in Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York during the first half of 2022. The remodels feature enhanced services with a focus on customer convenience, including a greater selection of fresh, quality grab-and-go meal options and local, organic, and gluten-free items; expanded pharmacies; additional self-checkout kiosks; and new Hannaford To Go online ordering grocery pickup and delivery locations. Remodeled store locations include:
- The Harbor Village Hannaford store in Townsend, Massachusetts, which introduced Hannaford To Go online grocery ordering to its customers in February.
- The North Avenue Hannaford in the Ethan Allen Shopping Plaza in Burlington, Vermont, which launched Hannaford To Go for its customers and added four new self-checkout kiosks in February.
- The Hannaford supermarket at 71 Supermarket Dr. in Brandon, Vermont, which features an expanded selection of organic, natural, and gluten-free products since its remodel was finished in June.
- The Hannaford location at 1400 Altamont Avenue in Rotterdam, New York, welcomed customers to a newly revamped pharmacy and four more self-checkout kiosks in June.
- The Leominster Twin City Hannaford at Twin City Plaza in Leominster, Massachusetts, which completed its full-service pharmacy expansion to meet the rising customer demands in June.
Each remodeled store was commemorated with donations to local non-profits, resulting in a total of $14,000 in charitable giving to area hunger relief and child and family development organizations. The Ahold Delhaize USA supermarket chain, committed to offering great fresh food, convenient experiences, and everyday low prices, operates 184 stores in Maine, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, most with full-service pharmacies.
