Kimberton Expands Distribution in Exton

Kimberton Whole Foods has expanded its operational footprint with the addition of a new distribution facility located at Hankin Group’s Haywood Business Park in Exton, Pennsylvania. The move adds approximately 17,500 square feet of warehouse space and is intended to support the grocer’s growing retail network across southeastern Pennsylvania. The facility is situated within Haywood Business Park, a light industrial and logistics campus developed by Hankin Group. Its location in Chester County provides access to major transportation corridors, allowing for more centralized inventory handling and improved efficiency in servicing Kimberton’s stores. The new warehouse supplements the company’s existing distribution operations in Downingtown, which have historically supported store replenishment and vendor coordination.

Kimberton Whole Foods currently operates seven stores in the region, with an eighth location under development at Eagleview Town Center. The addition of the Exton distribution center aligns with the company’s increasing store count and expanded assortment, particularly across fresh produce, natural grocery, and locally sourced products. Centralized warehousing plays a key role in managing inventory flow and maintaining consistent product availability across multiple locations. The expansion also reflects broader investment activity at Haywood Business Park, which has attracted a mix of regional businesses requiring flexible warehouse and distribution space. The site’s design accommodates growing tenants seeking scalable logistics solutions without relocating outside the region. As Kimberton Whole Foods continues to grow its retail presence, the new distribution center strengthens the infrastructure required to support higher volume, increased complexity, and ongoing regional expansion while maintaining a localized operating model.
