Competition in the North Texas grocery market continues to grow. While much of the spotlight has been on H-E-B in recent years, Kroger is now making its own major move.
The Cincinnati-based grocer is investing approximately $160 million to open four new stores across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The first location is expected to open this fall in Fort Worth, with additional stores planned for:
Fort Worth, Texas at Sendera Ranch Boulevard & Rancho Canyon Way
Little Elm, Texas
Anna, Texas on Rosamond Parkway
Each store will span more than 120,000 square feet at an estimated cost of $40 million per location. Together, the projects are expected to create around 1,200 jobs, with each store employing between 250 and 300 team members.
