Kroger is planning to debut two “Asian Experience” stores in 2025, aiming to better serve the growing Asian American communities in North Texas. These stores will be located in Collin and Denton counties, areas that have seen rapid demographic shifts, with significant increases in Asian populations in recent years.
These new stores will feature expanded Asian product selections, such as specialty produce, condiments, snacks, and cooking essentials tailored to Asian cuisine. They are part of Kroger’s strategy to adapt its offerings to diverse communities, following the success of its “Hispanic Experience” concept stores introduced in Houston and Dallas. In addition to the product expansion, the stores will incorporate new signage, displays, and cultural design elements to create an immersive shopping experience.
This initiative reflects the broader trend of major grocery retailers diversifying their offerings to meet the needs of increasingly multicultural markets. Other grocers, such as Tom Thumb, 99 Ranch Market, and H Mart, have also expanded their presence in North Texas to cater to Asian and South Asian shoppers.
