Natural Grocers Celebrates Texas Independence Day

Last month, Lakewood, Colorado-based Natural Grocers showcased Texas products in its fifth annual “Celebrate Texas Independence Day” event across all stores in the Lone Star State. Through most of March, customers received savings of up to 37% on Texas-made products. Raquel Isely, Vice President of Marketing for Natural Grocers, stated, “From Abilene to Wichita Falls, we love serving our Texas communities. We invite everyone to join us in the festivities and celebrate local Texas brands and products, starting on March 2nd. Explore our selection of high-quality products at affordable prices and experience the knowledgeable and friendly customer service that Texas customers have depended on since our first Texas store opened in Dallas, in 2008.” The natural and organic retailer now operates 25 stores in Texas with an array of more than 1,200 local products.

From March 2nd to 4th, as part of “Celebrate Texas Independence Day” event, all customers received a free Texas-themed, reusable shopping bag and commemorative sticker. Natural Grocers customers could also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a Yeti Tundra haul wheeled cooler; an Aventon Pace 500.2 e-bike; and a $500 Natural Grocers gift card. The objective of the promotions is to celebrate customers and brands, tell the story behind local products and showcase high-quality discounted local products, Katie Macarelli, Natural Grocers Manager of Public Relations, told Supermarket News. “Though plenty of grocery stores run sales around holidays to encourage customers to come in, we often take these opportunities to educate our customers and / or showcase local brands,” she said. This year, Natural Grocers will celebrate its 68th anniversary with a large celebration in August at all 166 stores in 21 states.
