Natural Grocers Expands Organic Cheese Line with New Varieties

Natural Grocers, based in Lakewood, Colorado, has expanded its private-label cheese line with five new organic varieties now available in stores nationwide. The latest additions include three Organic Cheese Blocks—Havarti, Mild Cheddar, and Medium Cheddar—alongside Organic Medium Cheddar Cheese Slices and Organic Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shreds.

Like all Natural Grocers brand cheeses, the new items are certified organic, non-GMO, and made with real California milk using pasture-based dairy standards. They are also crafted with organic-approved microbial coagulate instead of animal rennet.

“Our house brand is more than just a label – it’s a reflection of our family’s values,” said Raquel Isely, Vice President of Marketing. “We’re proud to offer customers cheeses that are not only delicious and organic, but also reflect our support for small family farms, animal welfare and environmental sustainability.”

Natural Grocers’ long-standing production partner emphasizes sustainability, with all cheesemaking and processing occurring within a 100-mile radius to ensure freshness and reduce emissions. Water conservation efforts include recycling 87% of the 48,000 gallons used daily in production, and packaging has been redesigned to use 20% less plastic.

The new cheeses expand Natural Grocers’ growing lineup of more than 800 house brand products, which also includes recently introduced vegan skin and body care items and non-GMO Peruvian chips.
