Natural Grocers in Amarillo Holds Grand Re-Opening Celebration

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage held a grand re-opening event in Amarillo, Texas on June 8th to welcome customers to a newer, bigger and better store. The natural-and-organic retailer relocated its Amarillo store on 34th Avenue to a larger footprint at Hillside Road. The grand re-opening celebration included a ribbon-cutting and donation ceremony where customers were treated to gift card giveaways, discounts, prize sweepstakes and more. “The Natural Grocers good4u® Crew has been proud to serve the community of Amarillo since the original location opened in the fall of 2008. This was our second store in Texas, trailing Richardson, by only a few months. We’re excited to give our customers more space to shop, which also means new product offerings throughout all departments,” said Raquel Isely, Vice President of Marketing for Natural Grocers. “We’re also thrilled to have several notable community leaders joining us for our festivities, including Mayor Stanley and representatives from Cornerstone Outreach Center, our local food bank partner. We invite everyone to visit our new store, join in the fun and discover what makes the Natural Grocers shopping experience exceptional.”

The new expanded footprint allows Natural Grocers to offer a wider product assortment with a special focus on produce, refrigerated items, and supplements. The store’s contemporary design incorporates a Nutrition Education Center—a community space dedicated to in-store classes, recipe demonstrations, and nutrition education programs. Customers can expect a modern and efficient checkout process and friendly customer service. Moreover, the company has prioritized environmental consciousness by incorporating sustainable building features and energy-saving innovations into the new space. These include the use of non-toxic building materials and 100% LED lighting, resulting in a reduced environmental footprint. Colorado-based Natural Grocers currently operates 166 stores in 21 states.
