Natural Grocers Launches Additional Heroes in Aprons Fundraiser

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, the country’s largest family-operated natural and organic retailer, proudly announced in July an additional Heroes in Aprons fundraiser taking place at its stores through September 30^th. The Natural Grocers Heroes in Apron Fund is a nonprofit recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization. The organization has raised more than $300,000 since its inaugural year in 2020. Natural Grocers will donate $1.00 to The Heroes in Aprons Fund for every Heroes in Aprons Fund-themed bag purchased at any of its 164 stores nationwide, through the remainder of the fiscal year. The Heroes in Aprons Fund provides short-term financial aid to qualifying good4u^SM Crew associates or their family who have encountered unexpected hardships due to illness, natural disasters, or other unanticipated circumstances. The Natural Grocers Heroes in Aprons Fund adds to the efforts Natural Grocers has made throughout its history to support employees and promote crew-member wellbeing. The fund relies firstly on charitable contributions from Natural Grocers and on individual donations from staff members, but the in-store fundraisers promote employee appreciation and give customers a way to support Crew members as well.
