Natural Grocers reopened its Abilene, Texas store after completing a relocation and full remodel. The new location, located at 3725 Catlclaw Dr., opened on Thursday, April 9th. Natural Grocers’ good4u® Crew kicked off the grand opening festivities with a $2,500 donation presentation to the Food Bank of West Central Texas, followed by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Natural Grocers closed the former Abilene location just days before the new store opened, helping ensure a smooth shift for customers. A series of reopening events took place to celebrate the launch and reintroduce the store to the community, including 20% off for all customers April 9th – 11th, plus deep discounts on select categories throughout April. On grand opening day, the first 150 customers received a free Natural Grocers gift card (values ranged from $5 to $500), and the first 500 shoppers received a free Natural Grocers Ecuadorian drawstring backpack bag woven by artisans in Peguche, Ecuador.
The updated location features a more open and spacious layout, allowing for an expanded selection of organic produce and easier navigation throughout the store. A standout addition is the upgraded Nutrition Education Center, which holds classes, demonstrations, and wellness-focused programming for customers.
The remodel also includes expanded offerings in body care and dietary supplements, along with a redesigned checkout area aimed at improving efficiency and reducing wait times. Company leaders noted that the refreshed store maintains the brand’s welcoming atmosphere while introducing modern updates.
