New Seasons Market is making a strategic move this October by relocating its Store Support headquarters to Portland’s Central Eastside. The new office will be housed in the Skylight building at the Electric Blocks, a modern, sustainability-focused campus owned by Killian Pacific. This relocation marks a significant milestone for the company, reinforcing its commitment to community, innovation, and long-term growth.
The Skylight building, a striking 83,000-square-foot mass timber structure, blends Portland’s industrial heritage with contemporary design. New Seasons will occupy approximately 32,000 square feet on the second floor, offering flexible workspaces, enhanced collaboration zones, and amenities that support both employee wellness and vendor engagement. With over 400 bike parking spots, rooftop solar arrays, and nearly 6,000 square feet of outdoor terrace space, the campus reflects the grocer’s values around sustainability and accessibility.
The Central Eastside location provides improved access to public transit and proximity to Portland’s vibrant maker and food communities—creating new opportunities for vendor engagement, product innovation, and local sourcing. As Dave Kauder, Senior Vice President at New Seasons, noted, “Skylight was the overwhelming favorite—it’s a beautiful space that reflects who we are and will be a fantastic home for our next chapter together.”
New Seasons Market plans to begin operations in the new space in early November. We can expect updates on logistics, meeting spaces, and engagement opportunities as the transition unfolds.
