Peapod Digital Labs Pioneers Incubator Program to Target Diverse Suppliers
Peapod Digital Labs, an Ahold Delhaize USA company that serves as the engine that powers U.S. eCommerce and digital strategies, launched an incubator program to target diverse suppliers for its private label portfolio. The incubator aims to develop new, high-quality, private brand products in partnership with certified, diverse-owned suppliers. Throughout the two-and-a-half-month program, selected suppliers will learn from PDL’s Private Brands team about the private brand structure and goals via educational sessions and discussions on best practices, gain a concentrated look at PDL and the brands of Ahold Delhaize USA, and propose product concepts for consideration. Participants will also be paired with their own private-label mentors, who will help them prepare for their final pitch. The program will come to fruition in November with a livestreamed event, where suppliers will present their product recommendations at PDL’s Innovation Center in Rhode Island. Suppliers not chosen for the Incubator will still be available through the RangeMe registration tools and may be reviewed by Peapod Digital Labs again in the future as business needs change. The application process is open now and will close on August 5th, 2022. Peapod Digital Labs powers growth in digital and e-commerce capabilities for the local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA, one of the nation’s largest grocery retail groups, and serves as the innovation lab for the U.S. businesses to help meet the ever-changing needs of customers.
