Publix Progressing with Leadership Changes

Publix Super Markets is undergoing a leadership transition, effective January 1st, with Todd Jones, the current CEO, transitioning to the role of Publix Executive Chairman. Kevin Murphy, currently serving as President, will step into the CEO position, and John Goff, the Senior Vice President, is slated to become the new President. Ed Crenshaw, the current Chairman of the Board, will continue in the capacity of Chairman Emeritus on the board of directors.

Todd Jones, whose Publix journey began in 1980 as a front service clerk, has held diverse roles within the company, ascending from store manager to regional director. His career milestones culminated in the role of CEO in 2019. Ed Crenshaw commended Jones for his leadership, unwavering commitment to Publix’s success, and his dedication to the professional growth of associates.

Kevin Murphy, with roots dating back to 1984 as a front service clerk, has steadily progressed through the ranks, assuming roles like store manager, district manager, and regional director before taking on the role of President in 2019.

John Goff, a Publix member since 1991, has navigated through various roles, from a front service clerk to Senior Vice President of Retail Operations in 2022.
