Publix Super Markets opened a new store in Wellington, Florida, in late November, located within the Courtyard Shops at Wellington shopping center. The Lakeland, Florida-based grocery chain announced the 58,834-square-foot store’s opening on November 21st, highlighting several key features, including a pharmacy with a drive-thru, a full-service bakery, and a deli.
In addition to the standard grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat, and fresh produce sections, the store also offers a “pours area” along with burrito, pizza, and pasta bars. The pours area provides a selection of locally roasted coffee, wine, beer, and kombucha on tap, as well as acai bowls and smoothies, which customers can enjoy while shopping or relaxing in the store.
A separate Publix Liquors store is located adjacent to the new location. “We’re excited to welcome our customers to the new Wellington Publix and introduce them to a variety of new offerings, all while delivering the service and high-quality products they’ve come to expect from us,” said Lindsey Willis, Media Relations Manager for Publix.
As the largest employee-owned grocery chain in the U.S., Publix operates 1,386 stores across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky.
