It with a heavy heart that we share the loss of Susan Patterson. We first met Susan when she was the Merchandising Manager at Valley Natural Foods in Burnsville, Minnesota. Susan joined our PRESENCE natural grocery team in March of 2008 as our Twin City based representative. Susan worked with our team for six years before starting her own gluten free baking company. Susan also worked as a clothing designer, a children’s muse creative, and a sales representative for Seattle Chocolate. Susan was always a bright light with a big smile and bigger heart.
Susan was born on May 31st, 1969 in Huntington Station, New York and she passed away peacefully at her sibling’s home on November 1st, 2022 at the age of 53 after a long illness. She is survived by her sisters and brothers and seven nieces and nephews and many dear friends that attended Minnetonka High School and Michigan State University. Friends and family remember her for her little finger puppets whenever she felt silly, her bright and happy patterned sweaters, her cat named “mouse”, her pink house, and her retro eyeglass frames. Susan was a lovely person whose beauty, positivity, and individualism brought so much joy to everyone she met. She dared to be herself and to be guided by a love of life. It’s no wonder that many people remarked that she was a “ray of sunshine”.
