Rory’s Market Providing New Location in Providence

Downtown dwellers of Providence, Rhode Island have a new grocery store to frequent with the opening of Rory’s Market + Kitchen new location. While there are plenty of restaurants and dining options, this marks the first grocery store in the downtown area that residents can walk to. The new store, located at 113 Washington Street, occupies more than 6,000 square feet, and offers a full juice, smoothie, and coffee bar that also serves fresh food made from the in-store kitchen. Rory’s also features local and organically grown produce and naturally sourced meats, along with a variety of vegan options. Online ordering is also available for the café that showcases a menu of all-day breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, and hots bowls. Online ordering for grocery items is soon to follow as well. Rory’s has been in business since Darby Ziruk opened the first location in Dennisport, Massachusetts in 1978. In 2019, Darby’s daughter, Rory, took ownership of the business. The new downtown Providence location is the company’s third store and the first located outside of Massachusetts.
