Sprouting Across the Southeast: New Stores Opening in Virginia and Florida

Natural and organic grocer, Sprouts Farmers Market, is continuing its expansion in the Southeast with stores set to open in Virginia and Florida this year. Following the announcement to close 11 unprofitable grocery stores, Sprouts opened its second location in Virginia within 26,000 square feet of space at the Manaport Plaza in Manassas, Virginia. Likewise in Florida, Sprouts is gearing up for the upcoming grand opening of its Fort Myers store, scheduled to open on July 21st. Located at 8595 College Parkway location, the grocer plans to hire 80 full- and part-time employees including department managers, clerks, and cashiers. Both stores, like all Sprouts stores, will feature an open layout with fresh produce at the heart of the store, carefully curated assortments of better-for-you products, and wholesome, innovative products made with lifestyle-friendly ingredients such as organic, plant-based, and gluten-free. Earlier this spring, Sprouts reported that it is planning to open 30 new stores this year that reflect its smaller-format, more cost-efficient model. Headquartered in Phoenix, Sprouts employs approximately 31,000 team members and operates approximately 380 stores in 23 states nationwide.
