Sprouts Among Retailers Where New Seed Oil Safe Badge Can Be Found

Seed Oil Scout (SOS), a community app dedicated to health-conscious restaurant diners, has introduced its Seed Oil Safe badge for CPG products, a trusted mark for brands that guarantee the use of wholesome ingredients and processes. Current partner brands include SideDish, Jesse and Ben’s, MASA, Prima, Rosie’s Chips, Saturée, Fatworks, and Vandy, which are sold at Sprouts Farmers Market, Whole Foods Market, and Costco Wholesale. The Seed Oil Safe program ensures that packaged foods and cosmetics are free from seed oils, soy, artificial sweeteners, gums, plant lecithins, natural flavors, dyes, and harmful manufacturing practices. The program certifies third-party products available in retail and online markets. Additionally, SOS is launching an in-app marketplace that offers exclusive discounts on Seed Oil Safe products for its community, promoting these partner brands as leading healthier alternatives.

“The Seed Oil Safe program represents more than compliance — it symbolizes shared values for nutritious and minimally processed foods and a commitment to quality,” said Erica Rozetti, former Whole30 President and a consultant at Middletown, Del.-based SOS. “More people are seeking seed oil-free options but struggle to find them in a crowded market — the Seed Oil Safe badge provides consumers with a transparent and trustworthy standard they can rely on.”

As the program expands throughout 2025, SOS will begin testing partner suppliers for purity and rancidity. They will also collaborate with lab partners to reduce contaminants such as microplastics, phthalates, mycotoxins, pesticide residues, and heavy metals in their products.
