Sprouts Farmers Market continued its nationwide expansion in recent weeks with the opening of three new stores in Texas, Florida and California, while maintaining plans to grow further across the Midwest and Northeast.
The Phoenix-based specialty grocer opened stores on May 29th in Webster, Texas, and Lecanto, Florida, followed by a June 5th opening in Paramount, California. The additions are part of Sprouts’ broader strategy to expand its footprint across the United States.
In Webster, the company opened its first location in the city at Baybrook Gateway shopping center, 1001 W. Bay Area Boulevard. The 23,800-square-foot store occupies a former Party City space and features a wide assortment of fresh produce sourced through partnerships with local and regional suppliers, including J&B Farms and Little Bear Produce Farms.
The Lecanto store opened at 3209 W. Norvell Bryant Highway within the Shoppes at Black Diamond development. The approximately 23,000-square-foot location serves as an anchor tenant alongside retailers such as Five Below and Ulta Beauty.
Sprouts’ Paramount location opened at 15121 Paramount Boulevard in Paramount Square, joining other shopping center tenants including Panera Bread and Panda Express. Local officials welcomed the store, citing both increased access to fresh food and new employment opportunities.
“I am thrilled to announce the arrival of Sprouts Farmers Market to the City of Paramount,” said Mayor Brenda Olmos. “City staff worked tirelessly alongside the developer and are proud to invest in the project because we want more healthy options for our residents.”
All three stores follow Sprouts’ standard format, offering fresh produce, bulk foods, vitamins and supplements, meat and seafood departments, deli selections, fresh sushi, prepared grab-and-go meals and other grocery essentials. Delivery and pickup services are available through Instacart, and each store operates daily from 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
The company also expanded its Food Rescue Program in each community. Through partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, Sprouts donates unsold but edible food to help reduce food waste and address food insecurity. Donations from the Webster, Lecanto and Paramount locations support the Houston Food Bank, Feeding Tampa Bay and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, respectively.
The new locations are part of Sprouts’ aggressive growth strategy. The retailer plans to open 40 new stores in 2026 and has more than 150 approved locations and over 105 executed leases in its development pipeline. Earlier this year, the company entered New York for the first time with a store in Centereach and has confirmed additional locations planned for Hartsdale and Long Island in 2026 and 2027. Sprouts has also signed a lease for a future location in Columbus, Ohio, with plans to redevelop a former Big Lots property and enter the state in 2028.
Sprouts Farmers Market is among the largest specialty retailers of fresh, natural and organic foods in the United States. The company employs approximately 36,000 associates and operates more than 480 stores across 25 states. It ranked No. 45 on Progressive Grocer’s 2026 PG 100 list of North America’s top food and consumables retailers and was also recognized among the publication’s 10 Most Sustainable Grocers for 2026.
