Sprouts Farmers Market Opens First Bastrop Location

Sprouts Farmers Market officially opened its first store in Bastrop on March 6th, bringing a new option for fresh, natural, and organic groceries to the fast-growing Central Texas community.

Grocery options have long been limited in Bastrop County, making it harder for rural and lower‑income residents to access healthy foods. Sprouts’ arrival strengthens Bastrop’s grocery options, giving residents better access to healthy foods and supporting ongoing economic growth.

Located at 655 Highway 71, Suite 101, the new store marks Sprouts’ debut in Bastrop and expands the company’s footprint in the Austin-area market. The opening day began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a weekend of celebrations including a pop-up party, product tastings, giveaways, and family-friendly scavenger hunt.

The approximately 23,000-square-foot store features a wide assortment of fresh produce, natural and organic products, vitamins and supplements, and specialty grocery items. Known for its “farmers market” style layout, Sprouts emphasizes healthy, affordable food options and a strong selection of fresh, seasonal items.

The Bastrop location is part of Sprouts’ broader expansion strategy across Central Texas, with additional stores planned or under development in nearby communities such as Kyle, New Braunfels, and Leander.
