Sprouts Farmers Market opened a new store in San Antonio on November 11th at 9702 State Highway 151. From November 11th to 13th, Sprouts customers who registered via text could receive 20% off their purchase when they scan their account barcode at checkout. The Sprouts app gave customers $100 in digital coupons and access to the weekly ad and more. Grand opening celebrations took place throughout the weekend with live music, activities for kids, prizes, games, and in-store samples. On the morning of the grand opening, Sprouts handed out coffee to customers and a smoothie bar was open in the morning offering free samples. The first 250 shoppers received a reusable bag filled with product samples from featured brands. On the second day, shoppers created their own trail mix and received a gift with purchase. On the third day of the grand opening, Sprouts held an in-store scavenger hunt and Sundae Funday ice cream social. Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to the Rancho Cordova Food Locker.
