Sprouts Farmers Market Plans Aggressive Expansion with 35 New Stores in 2025

Sprouts Farmers Market is ramping up its growth plans, aiming to open at least 35 new stores in fiscal year 2025. The specialty grocer’s rapid expansion reflects its strong appeal among young families and health-conscious consumers seeking a curated shopping experience focused on fresh, high-quality products at competitive prices. This success earned Sprouts the title of 2024 Retailer of the Year from Progressive Grocer.

Following a strong financial performance in 2024, Sprouts remains optimistic about future growth. “For 2025, we expect total sales growth between 10.5% and 12.5%, with comparable sales increasing by 4.5% to 6.5%,” said CFO Curtis Valentine.

“As we expand into new markets nationwide, we will stay true to our core values of fresh produce and healthier products that inspire customers to live and eat better while enriching the communities we serve,” said CEO Jack Sinclair.

Sprouts is making a significant push in Florida, with plans to open more than seven new stores across the state in 2025. The first of these, located in St. Johns, opened on January 31st.

Next up was a store in Melbourne, which opened March 14th at 5185 North Wickham Road. Additional Florida openings include:

Largo – March 21st

East Boynton Beach – April 4th

Poinciana – April 11th

Coconut Creek – April 25th

Lutz – May 16th

Beyond Florida, Sprouts is also growing in other key markets like Colorado and California. The 34th Colorado location will open at 405 South Chambers Road in Aurora on April 18th. The 50th California store is scheduled to open in Santa Clarita at 16450 Village Way on May 9th.

Sinclair expressed confidence in the company’s direction: “We’re excited for 2025 as we build on our strong foundation, focus on what’s working, and introduce new capabilities for the future. Our plans include enhancing in-store innovation, launching a new loyalty program, strengthening our supply chain for fresher products, and creating enjoyable shopping experiences with a best-in-class team dedicated to serving our customers.”

Based in Phoenix, Sprouts is one of the largest and fastest-growing specialty grocers in the U.S., with approximately 35,000 employees and more than 440 stores across 24 states. The company ranks No. 51 on Progressive Grocer’s 2024 list of the top food and consumables retailers in North America.
