Sprouts Farmers Market relocated its Corpus Christi, Texas store from the Gulfway Shopping Center on Airline Road to a new location at 4717 S. Padre Island Drive. The former store closed January 7th, and the new location opened to the public on Friday, January 9th. Sprouts marked the grand opening with in-store and outdoor activities that drew hundreds of shoppers throughout the weekend. The first shoppers on opening day and the following day received roses and tote bags from Sprouts staff as tokens of appreciation for making the transition to the new store. Product sampling and vendor demonstrations took place throughout the weekend. The company said the store will continue working with local and regional growers, including Little Bear Produce and South Tex Organics. In addition, unsold but edible food from the location will be donated to the Coastal Bend Food Bank through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program.
