Sprouts Ramps Up Summer Expansion with New Store Openings

Sprouts Farmers Market is preparing for a busy summer of new store openings as the healthy grocer accelerates its national expansion.

During the company’s first-quarter earnings call, CEO Jack Sinclair emphasized Sprouts’ strong growth trajectory, highlighting a robust development pipeline with nearly 120 stores approved and over 85 leases signed. “While the openings in 2025 will enhance store density in our existing footprint, we are also looking toward expansion in new regions as we develop market plans for the Midwest and the Northeast,” Sinclair said.

The first of several new locations will open in Philadelphia on Friday, June 13th, at 501 North Christopher Columbus Boulevard. The ribbon-cutting ceremony begins at 6:45 a.m., with doors opening at 7:00 A.M.

To celebrate, the store will host a grand opening weekend event from June 13th  to 15th. Festivities include a “pop-up party” outside featuring a seasonal produce tasting bar, an oversized produce guessing contest, and more. The first 200 shoppers on both Friday and Saturday will receive a complimentary reusable goodie bag packed with special products and samples. In addition, the first 400 customers on Friday will receive a free long-stem rose, courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral.

Inside, shoppers can visit Sprouts’ Vendor Village to sample innovative products from emerging brands. Guests who sign up on the store’s page at sprouts.com by midnight on June 15th will be entered to win a $500 Sprouts gift card.
