Out of time as health food store, Natur-Tyme announces its store closing in coming months. Located at 3160 Erie Boulevard E in Syracuse New York, Nature-Tyme has served the Central New York Community for the past 40 years, carrying more than 10,000 grocery products, over 220 brands of supplements, a wide array of health and beauty products, an amazing bulk section, an art gallery, a salon, and so much more. According to an announcement released in April, the decision to close is due to changes in consumer behavior accentuated by the pandemic as-well-as increases in operational costs.
Beginning as a small health food store on Charles Avenue, Natur-Tyme’s owner, Wendy Meyerson, purchased the store from her father in 2001. In 2002, Natur-Tyme would go on to relocate to Bridge Street in East Syracuse nearly doubling its retail space, where it stayed until relocating again to a significantly larger retail space (15,000 square-feet) in the Empire Plaza where it is currently at today. The store will continue to operate with business as usual with no additional inventory being purchased.
