After a decade-long development process, PCC Community Markets has announced plans to open its 17th store in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood this fall. The co-op originally signed the lease ten years ago, and the project weathered a protracted land use process before landing at 2925 E. Madison Street, anchoring the six-story, 82-unit Arbory mixed-use development. At approximately 25,000 square feet, the new location expands PCC’s Seattle footprint alongside existing stores in Ballard, Fremont, the Central District, Columbia City, Green Lake, View Ridge, West Seattle, and downtown.
The store will carry PCC’s full assortment, including locally grown organic produce, ethically raised meat and seafood, and seasonal products sourced from across the Pacific Northwest, along with PCC-branded and Field Day items and a substantial bulk section. The deli program will also be robust, offering prepared meals, seasonal salads, artisanal sandwiches, hot soups, and grab-and-go options made daily. Construction is currently underway, with additional details expected in the coming months.
