The Giant Co. – Growing in Philadelphia

The Giant Co. announces a new store set to be built in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania – a borough just 10 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. The approximately 50,000 square-foot store is part of the grocer’s strategic growth plans in the greater Philadelphia area and the surrounding communities. Located at the corner of Old York Road and Wyncote Road as part of a proposed redevelopment project, this will be the company’s first store in Jenkintown. “With a decades-long history of serving Montgomery County, we are excited to bring Giant to Jenkintown,” said John Ruane, Interim President, The Giant Company. “The Giant Company is looking forward to serving the families of Jenkintown by offering a simplified shopping experience, inspiring fresh ideas, and creating a healthier community, true to our purpose of connecting families for a better future.” The new store will bring over 100 jobs to the local community with construction set to begin once municipal entitlements and permits are available.

Part of Ahold Delhaize USA, The Giant Company operates 193 grocery stores under the Giant, Martin’s, and Giant Heirloom Market banners and proudly serves millions across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and New Jersey.
