The United Family to Host Local Product Discovery Showcase

The United Family is gearing up for its inaugural Discovery Showcase, an event designed to establish connections between the grocer and local/regional vendors looking to engage in business at its Texas and New Mexico locations. Buyers are looking for new products produced in Texas and New Mexico. From its inception, The United Family has actively supported the local economy by sourcing products locally and encouraging team members to contribute to their communities. The company prioritizes suppliers that align with their needs, emphasizing a commitment to diversity.

By cultivating relationships with a diverse range of suppliers, The United Family aims to expand its product offerings, ensuring affordability for its guests. Tony Crumpton, CMO of The United Family, expressed the company’s dedication to its local communities, emphasizing partnerships with local suppliers to bring the distinct flavors of Texas and New Mexico to their customers.

The Discovery Showcase event will feature meetings, breakouts, and a supplier expo, providing businesses with opportunities to scale into retail. Standout suppliers may secure the chance to have their products featured in United Family stores. Interested businesses can submit an online application until March 4th, with the evaluation process considering product fit and market readiness across all departments. Selected participants will attend an in-person event in Lubbock, Texas, on May 8th, where vendors can pitch their products directly to the business team.

In its 107th year of operation, United Supermarkets LLC, a grocery chain with stores in 54 communities in Texas and New Mexico, operates under five banners: United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, Albertsons Market, and United Express. As a self-distributing company headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, The United Family is a wholly owned subsidiary of Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons Companies.
