Thrive Market Appoints New Chief Merchandising Officer

Thrive Market, an American e-commerce retailer, focuses on offering natural and organic food products through a membership-based model. Recently, April Lane has been named the Chief Merchandising Officer at the online grocer, Thrive Market. In her new role, Lane manages the catalog merchandising for food, home, health, and beauty products, and oversees the Food Safety and Quality (FSQA) team. She also leads the owned brands category, which contributes about 25% of Thrive Market’s revenue.

Lane joins Thrive Market from Hearst Corp., where she was the Chief E-commerce Officer. Prior to this, she spent nearly 12 years at Amazon, including roles in scaling the Amazon Fresh business. Lane’s passion for food accessibility comes from personal experiences, leading her to create animal welfare standards for Amazon Fresh. Now at Thrive Market, she aims to make a big impact in this area. Before Amazon, Lane worked at Limited Brands and Nike, and began her career at Boston Consulting Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from Northwestern University and lives in Seattle with her family.
