The Specialty Foods Association honored Town & Country Markets’ Director of Center Store, Dwight Richmond, with their 2023 Leadership Award for Outstanding Buyer. Over his 30-year career, Dwight has helped around 200 companies thrive in the market and at retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Earth Fare, The Fresh Market and most recently Town & Country. He has also worked in distribution and as a broker.
During his time at Whole Foods Market, Dwight refined his buying philosophy, and his approach became “What can we do for each other?”. Being in a position to take the brand’s business to the next level, Dwight would help companies mentor themselves, saying “The best advice comes from within. Sometimes these people just need a coach to bring that out. I always want the companies to be as proud of me as a partner as I am of them.”
