Ahold Delhaize USA has expanded its partnership with Uber Eats, making nearly 2,000 grocery stores available for on-demand delivery through the platform. The rollout brings stores operated under banners including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop into the Uber Eats marketplace. Customers in eligible areas can place grocery orders directly through the app, with fulfillment handled inside existing supermarket locations. The expansion covers a broad portion of Ahold Delhaize’s U.S. store base and extends an earlier collaboration that had focused on delivery infrastructure and select regional services. With the update, participating locations are now accessible for browsing and ordering alongside restaurant listings within Uber Eats. Orders are picked inside individual stores, where staff assemble items from standard grocery departments including produce, meat, dairy, frozen foods, and packaged goods. Prepared foods and household essentials are also included in the assortment, depending on store availability.
For Ahold Delhaize, the move places its supermarket brands inside a third-party delivery platform while maintaining existing store operations and layouts. Each banner continues to operate under its established regional identity, with stores configured around traditional supermarket departments. Uber Eats continues to expand its grocery category alongside restaurant delivery, adding large retail partners as part of a broader push into everyday essentials. The inclusion of Ahold Delhaize marks one of its larger grocery network integrations in the United States. The partnership does not introduce changes to in-store shopping or pricing structures, and stores continue to operate under their existing formats. Delivery availability varies by location and demand conditions.
