UNFI Buying System and Enhanced Pricelist Updates

UNFI Updates Buying System
UNFI has completed the update to their the new RELEX Solutions buying system. RELEX is  a provider of unified supply chain and retail optimization solutions, to implement its industry-leading cloud-based procurement solution. The system consolidates and replaces multiple UNFI buying systems and drive efficiencies in demand planning and replenishment. 

RELEX is expected to provide superior demand planning, ordering, and inventory management capabilities, giving UNFI a holistic view of operations, including future capacity and supply constraints, and streamlining its planning processes. The improved platform will ultimately help optimize inventory across all UNFI categories, including UNFI Fresh, reducing spoilage, improving service levels, and increasing data visibility between UNFI’s suppliers and customers.

UNFI Enhanced Pricelist Requirement
Going forward UNFI will be requiring additional information on suppliers pricelists when submitting new items. The new information required is:

• Supplier Shelf-Life Guarantee to UNFI (Min Days Received)
• Supplier Lead Time (in days)
• SKU Minimum Order Quantity and Minimum Type (case, dollars, pallets, pounds)
• Total PO Minimum and Minimum Type (case, dollars, pallets, pounds)

If this information is not included on the pricelist an addendum will need to be included.
