UNFI Detention Charges

To be eligible to request detention charges, a carrier needs to have received a time stamp from the receiving office showing the driver arrived no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. The detention form must be requested prior to departure on the day of the scheduled appointment. The detention form must be filled out by a Capstone Logistics representative correctly and accurately, and it must be signed by a UNFI supervisor. The full policy is list on page 10 in UNFI’s Shipping & Handling Policies here: Product Handling Requirements & Shipping Instructions.
