UNFI Nears Opening of New Manchester Distribution Center

This fall, UNFI customers who pull and receive product from the York, Pennsylvania Distribution Center will move to their new state-of-the-art Manchester, Pennsylvania facility. The 1.3 million square foot distribution center will feature some of the latest automated systems and features. 

Once the move is complete, all full case orders will be fulfilled through their Manchester DC. All unit pick or repack items will be fulfilled through UNFI’s repack hub in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

When this distribution change occurs, suppliers will need to transition all approved repack items to the Carlisle DC which is currently servicing repack items for Chesterfield, Dayville and Hudson Valley. Repack product will be fulfilled from Carlisle and sent to Manchester to be merged and delivered to retailers on one truck. The optimization of both the Manchester and Carlisle facilities will enhance UNFI’s delivery network to better support their retailer’s growth.

As the transition timeline approaches, UNFI  will provide additional training on vendor and item numbers and any new conventional processes.
